ROB BROOKS
After spending most of his former life in the arts, primarily as a full-time musician, Rob decided he needed a new challenge.
Having always been interested in the human body and how it all strings together, training to be an Osteopath seemed a natural choice.
Rob has always believed that a holistic approach to treatment offers the individual the best opportunity to return to health and although Osteopathy’s main aim is to treat physical dysfunction, it also acknowledges that psychological well-being plays a vital role in both dysfunction and the recovery process.
During his training, Rob also gained a diploma in Sports Massage.
Additionally, Rob is trained in Medical Acupuncture, Kinesiology Taping and Photobiomodulation Therapy(PBMT) which uses light to help encourage tissue repair and reduce pain and inflammation. He can also offer shockwave therapy.
He is studying Cranial Osteopathy and is committed to furthering his professional development in order to give his patients the best care that he can.
In his spare time, Rob enjoys listening to music and still composes and plays when inspiration flourishes.
The environment and reducing his carbon footprint have also become an important part of his life and it is those issues, along with a few others, which have finally prompted him to go Vegan after many years as a vegetarian.
Rob is a registered practitioner with The General Osteopathic Council.
